My account has been blocked — what type of block is it and what to do

There are a few reasons an account can be blocked on Vivastreet. This article explains the most common ones and what you can do.


Reason 1: Safety or legal reasons

If your account shows signs of activity linked to illegal behaviour, or if there's a potential risk to the safety of our users or the public, your account will be blocked and your ads removed immediately.

For security reasons, we don't share information about how we detect or investigate these cases.

Reason 2: You've previously had an account blocked

Once an account is permanently blocked on Vivastreet, that person is no longer permitted to advertise on the platform. When we detect a new account linked to a previously blocked user, that account will also be blocked.


Reason 3: Your content repeatedly broke our rules

Accounts can also be blocked after repeated violations of our posting guidelines — for example:

  • Posting content that was refused multiple times

  • Uploading fake or stolen photos after being asked to stop

  • Offering services that are not permitted on Vivastreet

  • Creating a new account to get around a previous restriction


My paid upgrade has not been applied

If your account is blocked, any paid upgrades or premium features will not activate until the block is resolved. If you have paid for an upgrade and it has not been applied, please contact our team — see below.


How to appeal

If you believe your account was blocked in error, contact us. You'll receive a final decision within 4 weeks (we typically respond within 72 hours).
