I've changed my phone number and can't log in
Your phone number is used to verify your account. If you've changed it and can no longer receive verification codes, you won't be able to complete login on your own.
What to do: Contact our Customer Service team and let them know you've changed your phone number. They'll update it on your account so you can log in again.
Note: Your account phone number is separate from the phone number shown on your ads. If you only need to update the number on an ad, you can do that yourself in your account settings — no need to contact us.
Having trouble receiving a verification code on your current number? Try the following before contacting us:
Don't add a 0 or +353 at the start — the country code is added automatically
Make sure your phone is turned on and can receive SMS messages
Avoid using a VPN or Incognito/private browsing mode
Try a different browser (Firefox tends to work best)
If you've requested multiple codes in a short time, wait 24 hours before trying again
If none of that works, contact us from the phone number you're trying to verify.
I'm not receiving my password reset email
If you've requested a reset email and it hasn't arrived, try the following:
Check your spam or junk folder — reset emails sometimes get filtered automatically
Make sure you're using the right email address — the one you registered with on Vivastreet
Wait a few minutes — occasionally there's a short delay before the email arrives
Try requesting it again — go to vivastreet.ie, click My Account, then Forgot Password?, and re-enter your email
If you've checked all of the above and still haven't received anything, contact our Customer Service team.
If you no longer have access to the email address on your account, let us know and we'll help you recover access.
How to reset your password (step by step)
Go to vivastreet.ie and click My Account
Click Forgot Password?
Enter your registered email address and click Reset Password
Open the email titled "How to reset your password"
Click the orange Change password button
Enter your new password, confirm it, and click Submit
I have a security question about my account
Vivastreet does not use security questions as part of the login or account recovery process directly on the website. If you're being asked for a security question, this may be a sign of a phishing attempt — do not respond to it.
If you're trying to verify your identity to recover account access, our Customer Service team will ask you to confirm details.
If you received a message asking for personal security information and it didn't come from our support team, please report it to us.
I think my account has been accessed by someone else
If you believe someone else has logged into your account or is using your personal information, act quickly.
Step 1 — Change your password immediately
Go to vivastreet.ie and click My Account
Click Forgot Password? and follow the reset steps above
Choose a strong new password — at least 8 characters, mixing letters, numbers, and symbols
Step 2 — Contact our Customer Service team
Use the Contact Us form to let us know what's happened. Include:
Your account email address
What you've noticed (e.g. ads posted you didn't create, account details changed, messages sent without your knowledge)
We'll investigate and take action to secure your account.
Step 3 — Report any ads posted using your information
If someone has posted an advert using your photos, name, or contact details:
Find the advert on the site
Click "Report this ad" (just below the photos on mobile, or on the right-hand side on desktop)
Select the appropriate reason and provide any additional details
Step 4 — Secure your wider accounts
If you use the same password elsewhere, change those passwords too. Consider using a unique password for each service going forward.
