Why is the search page loading slowly?

Why does it take so long for the page to load?

If the Search Page is taking a long time to load, here are the most likely causes and what to try — these usually fix it quickly.

Why the Search Page might be slow to load

Slow loading on the Search Page is usually caused by one of the following:

- A slow or unstable internet connection

- An outdated browser or app version

- Browser cache files conflicting with the new page

- High traffic on the site at peak times

Step 1 — Check your internet connection

Open another app or website. If that is also slow to load, the issue is your connection rather than Vivastreet. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see which is faster.

Step 2 — Refresh the page

Pull down to refresh on mobile, or tap the refresh button in your browser. Most temporary slowness resolves with a single refresh.

Step 3 — Clear your browser cache

Old cached files from the previous version of the page can slow down the new one. To clear your cache:

- Chrome: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files

- Safari: Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data

- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Data

After clearing, close and reopen your browser, then try again.

Step 4 — Try a different browser

If one browser is consistently slow, try another — Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.

Step 5 — Try on a different device

If it is slow on your phone, try on a laptop or tablet. This helps confirm whether the issue is device-specific.

Step 6 — Disable browser extensions

Ad blockers and privacy extensions can sometimes interfere with page loading. Disable them temporarily and try again.
