If the Search Page is taking longer to load than expected — either for you or for a customer — here are the most common causes and what to try.
Why the Search Page might be slow to load
The new search page processes more signals than the old one to return relevant results. In most cases this is fast, but load times can occasionally be affected by:
- A slow or unstable internet connection
- High traffic volume at peak times
- Browser cache or cookies conflicting with the new page
- An outdated browser version
Step 1 — Check your internet connection
Open another website or app. If that is also slow to load, the issue is your connection rather than Vivastreet. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see which is faster.
Step 2 — Refresh the page
A single refresh resolves most temporary loading issues. Press refresh in your browser, or pull down to refresh on mobile.
Step 3 — Clear your browser cache
Old cached files can conflict with the new page. Clear your cache and try again:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files
- Safari: Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Data
After clearing, close and reopen your browser completely before trying again.
Step 4 — Try a different browser
If one browser is consistently slow, try another — Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.
Step 5 — Try on a different device or connection
If it is slow on mobile data, try on Wi-Fi — or vice versa. If it loads normally on a second device, the issue is specific to the first device or connection.
