You can now save your search and receive an email whenever a new listing matching your criteria is posted on Vivastreet. This article explains how to create a search alert and how to manage your alerts.
How to create a search alert
Creating a search alert saves your current search criteria so you are notified automatically when new matching listings are posted:
1. Run your search — keyword, location, category, and any filters
2. On the results page, tap "Create an alert" (it will be located on the bottom of the page)
3. A form slides up, pre-filled with your current search details
4. Review the details — category, location, keyword, and filters
5. Tap Create Alert
You will see a confirmation message: "Alert created. You'll be emailed new ads matching your criteria."
What happens after you create a search alert
After creating a search alert, Vivastreet will send you an email notification whenever a new listing matching your alert criteria is posted. You do not need to check back manually.
Do you need a Vivastreet account to create a search alert?
Yes — you need to be logged in to create a search alert. If you are not logged in when you tap "Create an alert", you will be prompted to log in or create a free Vivastreet account. After logging in, you will be taken straight back to the search results.
How to manage or delete your search alerts
After creating an alert, tap "Manage my Alerts" in the confirmation screen. This takes you to your Vivastreet account where you can view, edit, or delete all your active alerts.
How recent searches are saved without creating an alert
Even without setting up an alert, your most recent searches are stored in the search drawer under "Your Recent Saved Search". Tap any of these to repeat that search instantly without needing to fill in the search drawer again.
