What happens to my saved searches and browsing history?

This article explains what carries over to the new Search Page experience — and what does not.

What is still there after the Search Page update

Your Favourites

If you were logged in when you saved listings using the heart icon, those listings are still in your Favourites. You can access them from your Vivastreet account as normal.

Your account

Your login, account settings, and any alerts you created previously are unchanged.

What does not carry over to the new Search Page experience

Old saved searches

Searches saved in the old system are not automatically transferred to the new one. However, recreating a search takes about 30 seconds using the new search drawer — and you can set up an email alert so you are notified automatically when new matching listings are posted, without needing to search again manually.

Browser history links

If you used your browser's back button to navigate old search pages, those links may behave differently now. Invalid or out-of-range page links automatically redirect to page 1 of results.

How to set up your searches again in the new Search Page

To recreate your previous searches and set up alerts:

1. Go to the Search Page

2. Tap the search bar to open the search drawer

3. Enter your keyword, location, and category

4. Tap the Filter button to add any specific filters

5. Tap Search

6. On the results page, tap "Create an alert" to save this search as a notification

You will now receive an email whenever a new listing matching your criteria is posted, no need to check back manually.
