My ad was refused as spam, now what?

Help to publish an ad after it has been refused for spamming (all categories).

We flagged your ad as spam because it looks like you've posted too many similar ads at once. Spamming fills up our site and makes it messy for browsing users and other advertisers, so we step in to keep things tidy.

Don't worry—we've got you covered. Let's break this down together so you can figure out what happened and get your ad live.

How will I know?

If your ad is refused for spam, you will see this screen:

Common Causes:

It's usually one thing: too many similar ads at the same time. For example, if you're advertising the same phone for sale in the same city with five different ads, that's spamming to us. One ad per item or service in each area is all we need.

What happens when my ad is marked as spam?

  • New ads get deleted: Any extra ads you've posted that are too similar to ones already live will be removed.

  • Account restriction: We might also pause your ability to post new ads for a short time—like a little break to reset.

  • A heads-up: You'll get a warning, and if it happens a lot, we might fully block your account later on.

How To Fix It?

It's super easy to sort out. Follow these steps:

  1. Keep it to one ad: Only post one advert for the same thing in the same area. No duplicates.

  2. Visibility Upgrades: If more visibility is your aim, then instead of spamming, try one of our upgrades to get your ad to the top of the list and stand out.

  3. Check your current ads: Login, look at your live ads and delete any extras that are too similar.

  4. Wait out a restriction: If we've paused your account, hang tight and try again a little later.

  5. Post a new ad: Once you've cleaned up or the restriction is gone, you can post your ad again. Make sure it's unique and fits our rules, and it should sail through.

What if I keep posting ads that get flagged as spam?

We'll give you a few chances, but if spamming keeps happening, there's a catch. After repeated restrictions, we might have to block your account for good. That means no more posting. Let's not get there—stick to one ad per item, and you'll stay in the clear.
