How will I know?

If your pictures or video are refused, they will not appear on your advert when published and you will receive an email like this:

Common Causes:

The most common refusal reasons for pictures and videos are:

They contain nudity/sexual content that is against our rules (specific details in the drop-down below)
They have been stolen from another user or site and used without the consent of the owner.
They contain contact details or other info that contradicts the rest of the advert content. For example, the person or item in the picture does not match the advert description or the picture has a phone number different to the one in the designated field.

How To Fix It?

Follow the below rules and your content should not be refused in future. If you feel that your content is within the rules and should not have been refused, don't hesitate to get in touch with our friendly customer service team.

General rules for all photos in all categories:

Ownership, Age, and Consent

Please only upload images and videos for which you or your business own the Intellectual Property (IP) rights. If you do not directly own the rights you must be able to prove you have permission to use the media from the IP owner if challenged.

Do not upload pictures of anyone under the age of 18
Photos that include vehicles unrelated to the advert subject should have any identifying reg numbers or markings obscured. Photos on ads for vehicle sales should always show the reg plate.
Please do not upload pictures of anyone not related to or participating in the subject of the advert on offer. This includes fake/stolen pictures from other members, models, influencers or celebrities from other websites.
If the photo was taken in public, there must not be anyone identifiable in the background. That means no pictures with previous clients, friends, family or other background people that can be identified by visible faces or distinguishing features like tattoos, birthmarks etc.

Picture fits with ad content and is intelligible

All images must be of the specific item, service or person that is the subject of the advert, especially in buy & sell, personals, property & vehicles.
Relevant 'stock images' are acceptable for service ads outside of the personals categories, as long as they conform to all other rules.
Pictures should not have website URLs or phone numbers that do not match the details in the rest of the advert.
Images of animals or pets that are not part of the service or product. Examples: a picture walking a dog is ok when advertising a dog walking service and a picture of a cat in a collar is ok if the ad is for the sale of the collar pictured. But a picture on a beautician advert, holding their pet dog while at a pub or on a shopping trip is not OK.
Pictures don't need to be professional but should be clear and intelligible enough to accurately represent the product or service. We reserve the right to remove any images that are poor quality. This could be extremely out of focus, blurry, pixelated, or carelessly edited.

Content/behaviour not allowed

Please do not upload pictures with website URLs unless the URL upgrade has been paid for & URL matches the one entered in the dedicated URL section.
Please do not upload pictures showing tobacco or vaping product use.
Please do not upload pictures with representations of getting drunk or being under the influence of alcohol or legal/illegal substances.
- No visible alcohol brands.
Please do not upload pictures with representations or suggestions of illegal items, activities or substances.
Do not upload pictures with nude, sexual or erotic depictions outside of our designated adult categories.
Do not upload pictures that represent, promote or incite violence or hate or terrorism, real or simulated. Including:
- Fighting.
- Weapons.
- Hate symbols, flags or insignia that represent groups who harbour prejudicial views on any legally protected characteristic (eg religion, race, nationality, gender & age).

Videos

All content rules that apply to pictures and advert text also apply to videos. Here is the Video specific advice:

No offensive background music.
No reels recorded from social media.

Rules for photos in adult (18+) categories. Caution: contains descriptions of adult 18+ content:

Ownership, Age, Consent

We will refuse photos stolen from social media or another website. Do not post content of anyone not related to or participating in the service offered in the advert.
- This includes pictures stolen from models, influencers, porn stars or celebrities posting content on other websites.
- Please do not post pictures that include clients or current/previous partners who are not participating in the service offered.
Pictures must all be of the same person. Only one person is allowed in the pictures on an ad/account (with exceptions for duo services and agencies).
For duo pictures - the 2 people in the picture can touch or cuddle but must not be performing or simulating sex acts and/or touching the genitals, anus, cleavage or mouth.

Nudity/sexual content

Toplessness, full nakedness and transparent or small/revealing underwear are completely acceptable if all genitals are 100% completely concealed and absolutely not visible. Here are some examples of acceptable nudity:
- Legs are firmly crossed or positioned to completely hide the genitals and anus.
- Genitals are fully covered by a chair or other furniture.
- Genitals are fully covered or obscured by a non-sexual prop (a sexual prop would be any object that is designed for sexual use, resembles a sexual organ in shape or other attribute, or is otherwise used in any other capacity than to obscure what's behind it).
- Genitals are photo-shopped to be fully blurred or covered by another non-sexual image or graphic.
- Genitals are fully out of frame and not pictured.
We do not allow pictures where any part of the Internal labia, anus or an erect, or semi-erect penis is visible and unobscured.
- Do not pull underwear or clothes so genitals are not completely covered especially if the camera angle is from behind.
Covering the genitals with a hand is OK, but sexually touching any part of the genitals is not OK.
Erect penises must always be fully covered. It's acceptable if the penis is fully covered even if the material is thin enough so that the penis size and shape is clear, such as boxer shorts. This goes for any user with a penis, no matter how they identify.
Sex toys or phallic (penis) shaped objects can be in the frame as long as they're not used to perform or simulate a sex act or held near the genitals, anus, cleavage or mouth.
Photos must not show or simulate any bodily fluids. Look out for representations of urine, seamen or blood.

Underage/Illegal/ Dangerous fantasies

We don't allow any suggestion or representation of anyone under 18 in our adult categories. This includes schoolgirl outfits and other outfits designed to give the impression of a minor. It doesn't have to be a full uniform if it is clearly part of a schoolgirl outfit, 'sexy lingerie' style or otherwise.

We consider a schoolgirl outfit to include two or more related items of clothing such as: pleated plaid skirts, Japanese style school skirt/dress, shirt & tie, school style blazers, knee socks or pop socks.
We also do not allow other childlike stylisation or props such as hair in bunches/pigtails or items in the background like teddies, kids toys and lollipops.
Do not post content with representations or suggestions of illegal items, activities or substances.
Do not post content that represents, promotes or incites violence hate or terrorism, real or simulated. Including:
- Fighting.
- Weapons.
- Hate symbols, flags or insignia that represent groups who harbour prejudicial views on any legally protected characteristic (eg religion, race, nationality, gender & age).
