After the new Search Page goes live, you or your customers may notice that search results look different — listings appearing in different positions, or showing up for searches they did not appear in before. This is expected behaviour, and this article explains why.
Why results look different: the search now works on intent, not just keywords
The old search matched results based on the exact words a customer typed. If a customer searched "blonde escort London" and your title said "pretty girl London", your listing might not have appeared.
The new search understands what a customer is actually looking for. It considers the meaning behind the search — not just the words — and surfaces the listings most relevant to that intent. The practical effects are:
- Your listing may now appear for searches it did not match before
- Results may be ordered differently — relevance matters more than just recency
- Customers who use slightly different wording will still find you, as long as your listing clearly describes what you offer
Why position in results may shift after the update
The new search uses a relevance-based ranking system. This means:
- Listings with clear, descriptive titles and descriptions tend to rank better
- Upgraded listings (VIP, Highlight, Featured) still have prominent placement — but within the relevant results for each search
This is consistent with how most modern search experiences work — relevance drives visibility.
What you can do to perform well in the new search
To maximise your visibility on the new Search Page:
- Use a specific, accurate title that describes what you offer and where you are located
- Include relevant details in your description — services, location, and availability
- Keep your listing active and up to date — recently renewed listings perform better
- Consider a VIP or Highlight upgrade for maximum visibility — these now have more prominent placement than ever before
Is it a bug if my ad shows up differently after the update?
Changes in how results appear after the update are by design, not a fault. If you believe your listing has been incorrectly removed or hidden — rather than simply appearing in a different position — contact the support team via the chat icon on this page.
