What improvements can I expect from the new search?

What got better for my ads with the new search?

The new Search Page is built to get your listing in front of more of the right customers. This article explains each improvement and how it directly benefits you as an advertiser.

More relevant traffic to your listing

The old search matched results based on exact keywords. The new search understands intent — what a customer is actually looking for — and surfaces the most relevant listings for that query.

This means your listing can appear for a broader range of searches without you changing a thing. A customer searching for "massage London" might previously have missed your listing if your title used slightly different wording. The new search bridges that gap automatically.

Higher value from your upgrade

Each upgrade level now delivers more than before:

- VIP — now appears in a dedicated carousel at the very top of the page, before any other results

- Highlight — shows 3 photos directly in search results plus a blue outline border, visible before customers click

- Featured — larger image and a clearer Featured label in the results card

- Basic — cleaner card design, better visibility on mobile

Customers stay on the page longer

The sticky toolbar keeps the search and filter options visible as customers scroll. Instead of leaving the page to start a new search, customers can refine and keep browsing — which means more time spent looking at listings in your category.

New demand channels: alerts and Favourites

Customers can do two things:

- Save your listing to Favourites directly from search results — using the heart icon on your listing card, with no click-through required

- Set up an email alert for your category and location — so they get notified when a new matching listing is posted

These features create a new demand channel. Customers who are actively looking in your category can now be reached automatically when you post or renew a listing.

Related Searches drives more discovery in your category

At the bottom of each results page, customers see suggested related searches and locations. This keeps them browsing within your category rather than leaving the page — increasing the chance they find your listing.
